Milan are reportedly looking towards Feyenoord for their reinforcements, with interest in both striker Santiago Gimenez and midfielder Mats Wieffer.
The Rossoneri are set to appoint new coach Paulo Fonseca and several players are leaving this summer, including Olivier Giroud and Simon Kjaer at the end of their contracts.
The biggest focus is the search for a centre-forward and they have so far clashed with Arsenal over both Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig and Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee.
According to MilanNews.it and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gimenez is emerging as another important candidate for the role.
The Mexico international just turned 23 in April and scored 26 goals in 41 competitive games this season, including two goals in four Champions League appearances.
He is also on the radar of Napoli should Victor Osimhen find a buyer.
Wieffer another Feyenoord candidate for Milan
Meanwhile, Matteo Moretto notes that Feyenoord midfielder Wieffer is expected to leave the Dutch side this summer and Milan have been tracking him for over a year.
There is competition from Atletico Madrid and some Premier League clubs, but Milan are believed to be the Italian side in talks.
The 24-year-old Dutch international is under contract until June 2027 and can also play in central defence.
