Tottenham have reportedly rejected the opening Milan offer for Emerson Royal, as they are refusing to drop below the €20m asking price.
According to Calciomercato.com, the first proposal was worth €14m and that is too far off their valuation of the right-back.
The 25-year-old is said to be very enthusiastic about the idea of moving to San Siro, where he can participate in Serie A and the Champions League this term.
Emerson Royal eager for Milan move
His contract with Spurs only runs to June 2026 and he was purchased from Barcelona in the summer of 2021 for €25m.
Tottenham want to recoup most of that figure and seem to have drawn the line at €20m, despite no longer considering him a first-choice pick, so Milan need a significant increase to get a deal over the line.
It is reported Emerson Royal has already agreed a five-year contract with the Rossoneri worth €3m per season plus bonuses.
Negotiations between the two clubs are continuing with work done by intermediaries.
