Milan have decided to fine Theo Hernandez after he received a red card against Fiorentina over the weekend and are waiting to learn the ban’s length for the France defender.

The Rossoneri left-back largely had a night to forget in Tuscany on Sunday, ending up on the losing side of a 2-1, during which he gave away a penalty, missed one of his own and was then sent off for dissent after the full-time whistle.

He did register an assist for Christian Pulisic in the second-half, but that effort was overshadowed by his involvement in the game’s other major incidents.

Reports Milan have fined Theo Hernandez internally

There was a critical reception from fans and the coach, Paulo Fonseca, who was angered by the fact that regular penalty taker Christian Pulisic was not allowed to take either of Milan’s penalties against Fiorentina.

After getting himself sent off while wearing the captain’s armband, Milan have decided to fine Theo Hernandez, according to Tuesday’s print edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The club and player are also awaiting the league’s latest disciplinary report, which will specify how long Theo Hernandez is suspended for after his straight red-card after the full-time whistle.

Theo Hernandez is also facing a three-game suspension on top of his internal fine.
