Goalkeeper Flavio Roma will make his debut for Milan this week – 18 months after signing for the Rossoneri.

Roma will start in goal against Bari in Thursday's Coppa Italia match given the injuries to Christian Abbiati and Marco Amelia.

The latter, who had taken over for the sidelined Abbiati in recent weeks, picked up a thigh problem against Lecce and will be in the treatment room for the next seven days.

Roma joined the San Siro giants in August 2009 after spending eight years abroad in France with Monaco.

Although the Italian international will be given a chance against Bari in the Cup, boss Massimiliano Allegri is hoping to have Abbiati back for the weekend League game against Cesena.

Andrea Pirlo may also return to action on Thursday as a substitute. The playmaker has been missing since December 18 with a muscle strain.
