A banner unveiled by Milan fans during yesterday’s derby against Inter has gone viral on social media: ‘Pippo Inzaghi is an only child.’
The Rossoneri beat Inter 3-2 in one of the most exciting games of the season so far. Rafael Leao was the man of the match with two goals and one assist and the San Siro showdown offered plenty of entertainment on and off the pitch.
The two Curvas displayed amazing choreographies before kick-off, but there’s another banner unveiled by Milan fans that caught the eye of thousands of fans in Italy.
It was shown by Milan’s Curva Sud and read: ‘Pippo Inzaghi is an only child.’
The former Rossoneri star is the brother of Inter boss Simone Inzaghi. Pippo, now the coach of Reggina in Serie B, scored 126 goals in 300 Milan games, winning two Serie A titles and two Champions League, among other trophies, while wearing the Rossoneri shirt. He is a 2006 Italy World Cup winner.
Simone signed for Inter a year ago and won the Coppa Italia and the Italian Supercup in his first season with the Nerazzurri.
