Tuttojuve has reported that there has been significant contact between Milan and Sevilla for Banega, with the possibility of Nigel De Jong leaving in January.

The Argentina international’s contract expires next summer, meaning that he could be signed for a cut-price fee in the winter if an extension isn’t agreed.

Tuttomercatoweb also points to other possibilities for the San Siro outfit, including long-time target Axel Witsel of Zenit St Petersburg.

The Belgium international’s asking price of €30m is unlikely to please President Silvio Berlusconi however, and further summer target Giannell Imbula has also been linked.

The report suggests the Porto midfielder could arrive in January on loan with the right to buy in the summer.

Finally, Sampdoria’s Roberto Soriano continues to be linked with the club, although interest in the Italy international is believed to be high in Italy and abroad.
