Milan will fill their second and last spot for non-EU players by signing Marko Lazetic, meaning they can no longer get Eric Bailly or Japhet Tanganga.
The Rossoneri had monitored both centre-backs to replace the injured Simon Kjaer. However, Milan have no more spots available for non-EU players, having filled them with Fikayo Tomori and Marko Lazetic, who is on the verge of joining the Rossoneri from Red Star.
According to Calciomercato.com, the Diavoli have therefore changed their transfer strategy.
PSG defender Abdou Diallo remains on Milan’s radars. Despite being a Senegal international, Diallo has a French passport.
However, PSG’s asking price is €20-25m and the Rossoneri would prefer a low-cost signing, preparing a significant investment for the summer.
Empoli‘s Mattia Viti is on Milan’s radars for January, while Gleison Bremer and Sven Botman are on top of the Diavoli’s shopping list for June.
Neither Torino nor Lille want to sell their star defenders in the winter transfer window, so the Rossoneri will make new attempts in June.

Just forget about defenders. Sign an attacking midfielder if possible.
Gotta agree with Milan Fan on this. With Kalulu and Gabbia rotating in and out, we don’t need another defender before Tomori’s and Kjaer’s returns. But someone better than Diaz is dire.
I think another striker is #1 on the list…preferably younger.
