Milan are looking for a reliable backup for Theo Hernandez and have identified Real Betis’ Juan Miranda as a top option.
The Rossoneri spent almost all of the summer transfer window waiting for Fode Ballo-Toure to find a new home, deciding to cut the 26-year-old Senegalese full back from Stefano Pioli’s squad.
Ballo-Toure left for Fulham on transfer deadline day, failing to bring in a replacement in time for the new season, putting more pressure on Theo Hernandez.
As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan had hoped to make a move for Miranda in the summer and contacted his entourage to start exploring a possible move.
During the October international break, the Rossoneri will again meet with the left back’s entourage to try and start lining up a move in the January transfer window.
Real Betis do not want to lose the 23-year-old and are pushing for him to pen a new contract, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
