Milan are convinced that Joshua Zirkzee is the right man to strengthen their front line and they’ve started to plan out a summer move for the Bologna striker, reports detail.
The 22-year-old Dutch forward gave the Rossoneri a taste of his abilities in their Serie A clash on Saturday evening, scoring the opening goal in their 2-2 draw at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Milan are clearly looking around for the right striker to invest in and Zirkzee is one of the most promising young forwards in Serie A, scoring eight goals in 20 league games for Bologna this term. He’s also attracted the attention of Napoli, Manchester United and Arsenal.
As reported by Tuttosport via TMW, Milan are planning to pounce for Zirkzee in the summer and have started drawing up a plan to combat the €50-60m valuation set by Bologna, fees they can’t avoid to match.
The Rossoneri are looking to reinvest the €25-30m earnt from the sale of Charles De Ketelaere to Atalanta into Zirkzee and will also look to include Alexis Saelemaekers, currently on loan in Reggio-Emilia, in the deal.
Bayern Munich, who sold the Dutch striker to Bologna back in August 2022, hold a €40m buy-back clause, which could complicate matters in the summer.
