Milan‘s injury crisis continues as Pietro Pellegri and Rafael Leao will be forced out of action against Liverpool due to muscle injuries.
Both strikers were subbed off during the Rossoneri’s 2-0 win over Salernitana on Saturday and won’t be available when Stefano Pioli’s side host Liverpool at San Siro tomorrow.
Leao and Pellegri underwent medical examinations this morning, which highlighted muscle injuries for both.

Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo reports that Pellegri has suffered an adductor injury at his right thigh, while Leao picked up a knock at his right thigh, which caused a small lesion in his bicep.
Milan are training at Milanello this morning and Theo Hernandez is working in the gym because he has a cold.

The former Real Madrid starlet will be available against Liverpool tomorrow.
However, Pioli will have to cope without Simon Kjaer, Davide Calabria, Ante Rebic, Olivier Giroud and Samu Castillejo.
Milan must beat Liverpool to qualify for the Champions League last 16 and hope Porto and Atletico Madrid draw.
It was never going to happen anyway, left themselves far too much to do to qualify.
But it amazes me that there still seems to be no effort made to understand why Milan players are getting injured week after week. The injuries have hit ridiculous numbers already this season and we’re not even half way.

The one that mystifies me the most is Recbic. Picked up an ankle injury which we were told wasn’t serious. Yet ended up missing 3 league games and 2 champ league games. Plays for all of half an hour vs Inter and now he has been out with a thigh issue for five matches.
Calf and thigh issues seem to just keep repeating with umpteenth number of players. Surely training and preparation need to be evaluated and critiqued. This is become a continuing nightmare.
Liverpool is surely playing with B-men, but they are still Liverpool and they are hungry for sure. Milan needs a miracle now with the current squad. Leao is the biggest missing piece of puzzle.
