Luka Jovic has been excluded from Milan’s Champions League squad list, reports in Italy claim

Serbia international Jovic is not part of Milan’s Champions League list for the league phase.

As usual, the Rossoneri have not officially confirmed their team for Europe’s elite competitions, but several sources, including La Gazzetta dello Sport, claim that Paulo Fonseca has left out Jovic.

It’s not entirely surprising, given that Milan signed Tammy Abraham on loan from Roma on the deadline day.

The English striker is part of Milan’s Champions League squad list. He was unveiled at a press conference today.

Jovic had started Milan’s opening Serie A game of the season against Torino but went on the bench in the following match against Parma.

He was not available against Lazio this past weekend due to low back pain.

Milan’s Champions League journey starts at home against Liverpool on September 17. The following games are against Bayer Leverkusen (away), Club Brugge (home), Real Madrid (away), Slovan Bratislava (away), Red Star Belgrade (home), Girona (home) and Dinamo Zagreb (away).
