Milan are on the verge of Champions League elimination and this could leave a massive dent in their finances, with up to €100m less in revenue compared to last season.

The only way the Rossoneri can remain in the tournament is if they beat Newcastle United away from home in the final game and Paris Saint-Germain are simultaneously defeated by Borussia Dortmund.

It is a big drop considering they had reached the semi-finals of the Champions League last season, capitulating to their local rivals Inter.

Tuttomercatoweb analysed the effects this could have on their finances and the drop in revenue is heading towards up to €100m.

At the end of the 2022-23 campaign, Milan picked up €130m from their Champions League participation, based on results, progress and their share of the market pool.

So far in the current season, they have taken in €20.3m from results, specifically €15.64m just for being in the group stage and another €4.66m for the win over PSG and draws with Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund.

Even if they win and finish third in the group, therefore heading into the Europa League, Milan will at most pick up €23.1m from their Champions League participation.
