Despite Paolo Maldini’s unexpected dismissal, Milan’s transfer market plans have not changed and the club are working hard to find a deal for Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic.

The former defender, who played a crucial role in the club’s return to the top level in Serie A, was dismissed by owner Gerry Cardinale on Monday following a short meeting. The situation has thrown the club into a state of chaos and upset many of the players and staff.

Recent media reports suggest that Milan are only planning to spend around €35m in the upcoming summer transfer window, as well as any money earnt from player sales, forcing them to carefully pick their targets in the coming weeks.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan have been keen on picking up Pulisic for months now and are still aiming to sign the American winger, despite the departures of Maldini and Frederic Massara.

The Rossoneri were also following Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson, but have moved away following the 23-year-old’s decision to sign a new four-year deal with the North London outfit.
