Milan have dropped points from winning positions seven times this season, a sign that the Rossoneri struggle to close out matches.

Yesterday the Milanese club took a 1-0 lead against Udinese thanks to Rafael Leao, before a Destiny Udogie equaliser in the second half tied things up at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. This is the second time in a row that Milan have dropped points from a winning position, with their 2-2 draw against Salernitana last weekend being another example.

Milan suffered comebacks in the Champions League three times this campaign, twice against Liverpool and once against Atletico Madrid at the end of September. All of these results explain why the Milanese club finished bottom of their group.

In Serie A the Rossoneri have suffered four comebacks, with the first coming in their game against Sassuolo on November 28. Alessio Romagnoli put the home side ahead before the Neroverdi scored three times to pick up all three points.

The second comeback came against Spezia in January, when Leao’s opener was cancelled out by Kevin Agudelo and Emmanuel Gyasi. The other two comebacks were the draws with Salernitana and now Udinese.
