Milan are still exploring the option of bringing 21-year-old Chelsea striker Armando Broja to San Siro on a loan deal, despite having received a negative response from the Londoners after their initial enquiry.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan have been in contact with representatives from Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea are reluctant to let Broja leave before knowing if anything else could happen on their end before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Londoners have recently lost star summer signing Christopher Nkunku for an ‘extended period’ due to a knee injury sustained during a pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund.

That said, Milan are still keen on the idea of signing Broja, who has recently recovered from a serious knee injury of his own. La Gazzetta writes that he is in pole position to join the Rossoneri over PSG’s Hugo Ekitike.

Broja is said to be hungry for an opportunity to play regularly and consistently for a team at the top level, which is why La Gazzetta believes that Milan could be the perfect destination for the Albanian.
