Milan are still pushing for Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu, but reports suggest the formula of the loan is a sticking point.

Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani confirmed last night that negotiations are underway to bring the Spanish winger to San Siro, and it’s thought the player is pushing for the move.

However, Milan cannot commit to buying Deulofeu outright, as they are in the midst of a takeover by Sino-Europe Sports.

However, Milan cannot commit to buying Deulofeu outright, as they are in the midst of a takeover by Sino-Europe Sports.

According to Sky Italia, the Toffees want a loan with obligation to buy, but the Diavolo can only offer a straight loan deal.

Reports in Britain would appear to back this up, as the BBC is reporting that a loan bid has been rejected by the English Premier League side.

It’s thought they’d be open to a loan with option to buy, but Barcelona retain an option on their youth product so that would present challenges of its own.

Therefore Galliani is pushing for a simple loan deal, but should Everton insist on a buyout option, he’ll fly to Spain to try and negotiate with Barcelona.
