According to reports in both Germany and Italy, Milan have been in contact with the representatives of Germany international Niclas Füllkrug to sound out the possibility of a transfer from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Milan in contact with Füllkrug

Football Italia reported Milan’s interest in Füllkrug on Friday evening, but Sky Sport Italia and Sky Sport Germany journalists Gianluca Di Marzio and Patrick Berger now confirm that Milan have made initial contacts with the striker’s entourage.

Di Marzio adds that Füllkrug has grown slightly frustrated by Dortmund’s pursuit of prolific Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, who netted 28 goals from 28 Bundesliga appearances last term.

Milan are also still pursuing a move for Spain captain Alvaro Morata, who is believed to be available on a release clause set at €13m.

Still, the Rossoneri are exploring other options in attack to cover the important gap left by veteran Olivier Giroud, who left the club at the end of the 2023-24 campaign to join MLS side LAFC.

Milan have also been linked with a possible move for former England international Tammy Abraham from Roma, although that deal is expected to cost in excess of €25m.
