According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are considering paying Serhou Guirassy’s €17m clause in January, but Aston Villa are not considering parting ways with Clément Lenglet next month.

The Rossoneri are on the lookout for a new striker and centre-back to boost Stefano Pioli’s options in the second part of the season.

Lille’s Jonathan David and Stuttgart’s Guirassy are the leading candidates to strengthen Milan’s attack, while Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior and Barcelona-owned Lenglet are the top targets at the back.

Wednesday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, on page two, claims the Rossoneri are considering paying Guirassy’s €17m clause to sign the 27-year-old in January.

There are concerns, however, as the Guinea international will participate in the African Cup of Nations next month and could be ruled out until the beginning of February if his country reaches the Final.

Manchester United have also been linked with Guirassy and Gazzetta confirms Milan are not the only club interested in the 27-year-old.

The pink paper also confirms Milan are keeping a close eye on Barcelona defender Lenglet, currently on loan at Aston Villa where he has only made five appearances this term.

According to the report, the Catalans are open to sending the French centre-back to San Siro on loan with an option to buy, but Aston Villa are unwilling to part ways with the 28-year-old so the Rossoneri must work to convince the Premier League side.
