With Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze out against Udinese, Stefano Pioli has three very different options to complete the Milan trident attack.

While the tests showed that Pulisic’s muscular injury is not serious, it is still likely to see him rested for the weekend to be ready for the Champions League encounter with Paris Saint-Germain.

Chukwueze would be his natural replacement, so Pioli has to look towards a different alternative and La Gazzetta dello Sport go through the options.

Luka Romero is a candidate for the role, but has very little experience and showed by giving away the free kick for the equaliser against Napoli that he has a great deal to learn when defending.

It would be his first start in the Milan jersey, having so far made only substitute appearances against Cagliari, Juventus and Napoli.

Another option is moving Noah Okafor over to the right flank, as he has already played there for Switzerland, but was signed as either a centre-forward or an alternative to Rafael Leao on the left.

He has scored two goals so far this season against Cagliari and Lazio.

The least likely choice is Alessandro Florenzi, who if anything is needed more to fill in the defence now that Pierre Kalulu is out for four months and Marco Pellegrino for six weeks after injuries sustained against Napoli.

  1. They have Yunus Musah who has played RM/RW for Valencia.
These papers really need to do their homework.
