Milan coach Stefano Pioli has won the Gigi Simoni Gentleman award for representing fair play and the positive values of football.
The tactician had never won a piece of silverware in his management career until securing the Serie A title with Milan in 2021-22.
He got the Scudetto symbol tattoo on his arm to mark the occasion.
What followed was a series of other awards for Pioli’s man-management skills and general approach to the sport.
The latest is the Gentleman Allenatore Gigi Simoni award for 2021-22, which was voted for by Serie B coaches.
It was named after former Inter, Napoli and Torino boss Simoni, who died in May 2020.
“Stefano Pioli brings together the characteristics of capability and fair play,” explained Lega Serie B President Mauro Balata.
Everybody in Milan is being overrated !!
Except those at Inter, Recoba. All rated at the correct low level.
