Milan coach Stefano Pioli didn’t answer a question about the Super League on Thursday: ‘I’ve just read the news.’

Pioli was the first Serie A coach to speak to the press on Thursday following a ruling from the European Court of Justice which has boosted hopes of Super League clubs to create a competition outside UEFA and FIFA.

“I’ve just read the news, so I don’t have all the tools to give a verdict,” Pioli said as quoted by Milannews.

Milan were among the 12 elite European clubs that announced the Super League in April 2021. However, they quickly followed Premier League sides in withdrawing from the breakaway tournament barely 48 hours after the original announcement.

The Rossoneri will visit Filippo Inzaghi’s Salernitana at the Stadio Arechi on Friday.

Milan sit third in the Serie A table, nine points below leaders Inter. The Rossoneri have scored 29 league goals this season and conceded 18.
