Milan are intensifying negotiations for Torino midfielder Soualiho Meite, who should arrive on loan with option to buy for a total €8m.

Their interest in the player has been repeatedly confirmed by Granata director Davide Vagnati.

He was even left out of the squad for both recent matches against the Rossoneri in Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Corriere Granata, negotiations are taking place this evening with the hope of securing a deal imminently.

Meite turns 27 in March and Torino paid €11.5m to sign the midfielder from Monaco in 2018.

He has one goal and one assist in 14 Serie A appearances for the Granata so far this season.

Hellas Verona have also shown interest in Meite for the January transfer window.
