Following the latest round of European fixtures, UEFA have updated their club coefficient rankings and Milan’s victory over Tottenham has seen them start rising up the table.

It was an interesting week in Europe for Italian clubs, with the Rossoneri kicking off proceedings with a slightly disappointing 1-0 win over Tottenham, negative only because they could’ve easily scored a handful more.

In the Europa League, Roma slumped to a frustrating 1-0 loss to RB Salzburg, a game in which Jose Mourinho’s side showed worrying signs of fatigue. Things were a little more positive in the Conference League, however, where Fiorentina flew to a 4-0 win away to Braga and Lazio edged out a 1-0 win over CFR Cluj.

With European football coming to a close for this week, UEFA’s club coefficient rankings have been updated, and Milan have climbed three places to 36 as a result of their victory, rising above Stade Rennais, Braga and PSV.

Looking at just this season’s coefficients, the Rossoneri’s win over Spurs has put them in the top 10.
