Studio Manica have been chosen by Milan to design their new 70,000-seat stadium which, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, will be inaugurated in 2028 or 2029.

A new era is about to begin for Milan as the club have not only identified a spot to build their new home but also the companies working on the project.

A spokesperson of Studio Manica in Milan has told Gazzetta: “We are proud to have been chosen to design the new stadium and we’ll work to make the project worthy of this exceptional club, the city and all their fans in the world.”

Studio Manica will work alongside CAA Icon and Tim Romani, founder of CAA Icon who has left the company to become responsible for the project on behalf of Milan.

CAA Icon and Romani have already contributed to the projects of the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and the Chase Center in San Francisco, home to the Golden State Warriors.

“I’ve been chasing the dream of a new Milan stadium for six years,” said Romani.

“CAA Icon and Manica will help us create a worldwide level stadium meeting Milan and RedBird’s Capital expectations.”

Stephanie Bax, leading the team of CAA Icon, said: “The most successful stadiums are those integrating perfectly into the community. We are looking forward to making it happen with Manica’s help and Milan’s vision.”

Milan’s new stadium will be built in the area of San Donato, just outside the perimeter of Milano.

According to the report, the new Milan stadium is expected to have a capacity of 70,000 and will have two tiers rather than three. It will feature a store and a 300 square meters museum. Two mega screens, the biggest in Italy, will be placed inside the stadium and there will be a vast square outside the main entrance where Milan hope to celebrate their victories with fans.

The Rossoneri’s target is to begin building works at the end of 2025 and inaugurate their new home in 2028 or 2029.
