Milan have a number of decisions to make ahead of the summer, debating between four possible strikers and needing to resolve three contract situations.

The Rossoneri are in a state of flux heading into the summer transfer window, starting with their coach. Stefano Pioli will almost certainly be sacked, and a long list of possible replacements have emerged, giving the club’s directors work to do before the start of June.

The current favourites to take on the Milan job include Porto’s Sergio Conceicao and Lille’s Paulo Fonseca, but no final decision has been made yet. In the meantime, the transfer market is starting to heat up and it’s clear that investments are needed to close the gap with Scudetto winners Inter.

Milan decisions

Page 19 of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Milan have identified four possible options to bolster their frontline in the summer, starting with Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee, who’ll cost around €60m.

Equally expensive alternatives include Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, whilst Lille’s Jonathan David is a cheaper option at around €30-35m.

Milan also need to resolve three tough contract situations – Davide Calabria’s current deal expires in June 2025 and he’s asking for a significant raise to his current €2.2m net per season wages, whilst Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan both have deals expiring in 2026.

  1. Calabria can go to a club acoording to his quality. Lecce, Frosinone or Genoa could be options. Good luck earning 2.2m there though
