Milan are absolutely determined to sign Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali and have permission to increase the bid even more to beat Inter.

Manchester United are also said to be interested, but the 20-year-old wants to remain in Serie A this early into his career.

Tonali had a deal in place with Inter for months, a move on loan with obligation to buy for a total €35m, but the Nerazzurri suddenly pulled out.

This is because Antonio Conte prefers more experienced figures such as Arturo Vidal and Aleksandar Kolarov.

Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more all reported on Friday that Milan were diving in with a new bid, a loan at €10m with option to buy for a further €25m.

Brescia President Massimo Cellino also confirmed Milan had surged to the front of the queue because Inter had backed off and the player was ‘in a rush’ to know his future.

Now Sport Mediaset maintain the orders have come directly from club owners Elliott Management, who gave director Paolo Maldini the option to further increase the bid if necessary to ensure Tonali comes to their side of San Siro.

It’s not a hard sell for the Italy international, as he confessed to being a Rossoneri supporter when growing up.
