Milan have reportedly set their sights on former Juventus and Atalanta centre-back Merih Demiral, but have also resumed talks with Arsenal for Jakub Kiwior, reports in Italy claim.
The Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli has demanded a new centre-back in the January transfer window and Kiwior has been linked with a move to the Stadio Meazza for several weeks.
According to the latest report from Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri have made new contact with Arsenal to sound out the availability of the Poland centre-back.
The Gunners have reiterated that they won’t consider a loan deal with an option to buy and that they may only discuss a paid loan transfer with an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.
However, it is unlikely that Milan will invest a big sum for a new central defender this month. A report from Sky Sport Italia, in fact, claims the Serie A giants are also interested in Demiral, now at Al-Ahli, but they only want a dry loan deal until the end of the season.
Al-Ahli are reportedly unwilling to let the player go on a temporary transfer until June even if the 25-year-old has recently returned from a meniscus injury.
