Milan have officially announced that staff member Daniele Bonera has tested positive for coronavirus after developing a fever.

Technical coach Bonera has become the latest member to contract the virus at Milan and joins Matteo Gabbia and Leo Duarte, who are currently quarantined with the disease.

The 39-year-old former centre-back had developed a fewer and was subjected to a swab at home.

“Daniele Bonera, after developing a fever, was subjected to a swab at home yesterday, which gave a positive result for COVID-19,” the statement read.

“Bonera is at home and in good condition. All the other swabs carried out on the team group yesterday have come back negative and the group will be monitored closely according to the indications of ATS and in compliance with the protocol in force.”
