Brazilian reports claim Milan are close to securing Atletico Mineiro defender Jemerson for €10.5m.
According to MG Superesportes, the Rossoneri are at the front of a race to sign the 23-year-old.
They are in competition with Monaco and Porto for the centre-back.
Jemerson grew up in the Atletico Mineiro youth academy and is under contract until December 2019.
The report states that Milan are aided in negotiations by agent Beppe Bozzo and their former player Serginho, who now works for Milan negotiating Brazilian deals.
