According to reports in Italy, Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot wants to stay at Milan, but the Rossoneri have already turned towards Alvaro Odriozola instead.

Dalot spent this season on loan at San Siro without an option to buy and there have been talks to extend that loan, adding in a path towards a permanent purchase for the 22-year-old.

However, Tuttomercatoweb claim that although Dalot has given the all-clear for this avenue, Milan have already turned towards their next target.

It would be a similar loan for Odriozola from Real Madrid, a 25-year-old right-back who spent time on loan at Bayern Munich in 2020.

Odriozola managed only 16 competitive appearances for the Merengues this season, still scoring two goals.

Curiously, the TMW report also states that should Odriozola go to Milan, then Dalot would be one of the main candidates to replace him at Real Madrid.

Manchester United paid €22m to sign Dalot from FC Porto in 2018.
