Milan are seriously interested in making a move for Schalke 04 talent Assan Ouédraogo but must fight off competition from sone of the biggest clubs across Europe.

The 17-year-old German midfielder exploded onto the scene this season after breaking into the Schalke first team, scoring one goal and providing one assist in 591 minutes of action in the 2 Bundesliga.

Milan have been keeping a close eye on Ouédraogo for a while now, putting the teenager on their radar over 18 months ago. In recent days, reports also detailed how Inter have been scouting the midfield talent.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan consider Ouédraogo to be one of the most exciting talents in European football and wanted to make a move in January, but Schalke made it clear that a sale is unlikely until the summer.

Whilst Inter are following Ouédraogo, the 17-year-old is not considered a priority and is just one of many players being scouted by the club.

Milan are facing competition, however, as RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich and Liverpool are all seriously interested in the teenager, who has a €12m release clause.
