“Suso is a strong player, we certainly want to keep him, the market is open and sparks a lot of work for journalists, but we absolutely want to keep him,” the director told Sky Sport Italia.
The reports continue today that Correa is pushing to leave Atletico Madrid, but Milan cannot meet the €50m asking price until they have first sold Andre Silva.
“This Angel Correa story has also been pumped up by the media. We want to make buys who are functional to the squad, we’ve done that and we are ready to be competitive this season.
“Andre Silva is ready to play, he is focused on the game, as we all are, as it is a very important match. He is a strong player, can work as a centre-forward or a support striker. He is a complete forward and hasn’t expressed all his capabilities at Milan, but we hope that he still can.”
