Milan are reportedly not out of the running for Renato Sanches yet, as the LOSC player is frustrated with PSG delays and could turn back towards the Serie A champions.

The saga has dragged on for months with Renato Sanches seemingly on the verge of a move to San Siro, only to then be swayed by an approach from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, weeks have gone by since that turnaround and still no agreement has been reached between the clubs.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com, the Portugal international is frustrated at the lack of progress and agent Jorge Mendes has been in direct contact with Milan again today.

It would not be difficult to do a deal, considering LOSC had accepted the Rossoneri proposal worth circa €15m including bonuses – more than PSG’s €10m.

The main problem was that Renato Sanches increased his salary demands after the interest from Paris Saint-Germain, which Milan baulked at.

Now they have secured Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge, and his private plane is expected tonight at 23.30 local time, their focus can turn towards the midfield role.

  1. C’mon Renato Sanchez accept Milan and forget about PSG. Milan will give you plenty of chances and you’ll enjoy it so much well.

  2. I agree Putuco. If we’re only 2nd choice in his plans then maybe we should invest in a player who actually wants to play for Milan 100%.

  3. Putuco and Dazziano, I agree in principal, but we fans are always biased for our team no matter what. It’s understandable if a player who is interested in stepping up in quality by coming to Milan from a club like Lille gets his head turned when one of the top 5 richest clubs in the world comes calling, as he arguably has a better chance at winning silverware there (particularly the UCL) than he would pretty much anywhere else.

  4. Cmon Milan you don’t want a player bcs his head is turned by psg’s star studded team. PSG would turn all of the current Milan teams head

  5. Will he, won’t he, what a tease. In the end I think this “frustration” will just end up in PSG throwing a bit more wages to Sanches, but I think his transfer to Milan is all but dead. Milan are being used as pawns, which is a pity since they seemed earnest in their desire to have him (and what a signing it would have been).

  6. I dont mind if he doesn’t come because of comments already made – we seem to be 2nd choice. Still, players are professionals and if he does join, he’d be a great, versatile addition. I’m surprised we aren’t moving for Wijnaldum – we don’t have a winning veteran in midfield. He’s free and he’d take a paycut of sorts.

  7. You all are too harsh on players who you perceive “only want money.” He is about to be 25, this is his first chance to really cash in as a professional footballer, and for all anyone knows it could be his last. Of course all of us would play for free, but these players need to make their money while they can. The lad could blow out his knee in training and never be the same player, losing millions. I don’t fault him for chasing a premium salary.

Also, he can be fully bought in and committed to the program while also wanting top-dollar. Those things are not mutually exclusive.

  8. People are only looking at it as a “Money” thing. What else is psg has a coach and director he is comfortable playing for so going to psg is more an idea of comfort as well as money. It is always different going somewhere and working to fit in look at what happened at Munich he did not fit the style and did not really play up to the level he can.

He is great talent seeing him on the international stage he is a great player. As long as he stays healthy he would be a great addition to Milan.

  9. Better Frattesi or Berardi for homegrown player, and offload non homegrown which not in Pioli’s plan. As we know, milan now is surplus of 4 non homegrown players according to the rules

  10. This is Jorge Mendez playing the game.
He’s the one making this bidding war.
I really hope ppl at FIFA regulate this super corrupted agents.

  11. I think Milan should pay more attention to Ndombele of Tottenham and forget about Sanchez because he is better, stronger, and more aggressive moving toward the opposition half.
