Milan have approached KAA Gent for Ukraine international striker Roman Yaremchuk, claim reports in Belgium.

The 25-year-old is a centre-forward, but can also play in wide roles on the left or right of attack.

He has 10 goals in 26 senior caps for Ukraine, working under former Milan star Andriy Shevchenko, including two at Euro 2020.

According to Sportwereld and Nieuwsblad, the Rossoneri made an initial approach and hope to take Yaremchuk on loan with an option to buy for €15-20m.

The asking price from Gent is closer to €25m, but it could be bridged with the inclusion of add-ons.

He found the net 23 times in 43 competitive matches for KAA Gent this season, along with eight assists.

Very tall and good in the air, as well as being two-footed, Yaremchuk would be an alternative to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who just underwent knee surgery and could miss the start of next season.
