Milan are seriously interested in signing Andrea Belotti on a free transfer but are facing significant competition.

The 28-year-old Italian forward is set to leave Torino after seven years at the end of the season, when his contract expires with the club. President Urbano Cairo has confirmed that the player has no intention of signing a contract renewal, meaning his departure is all but certain now.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan have been interested in Belotti for some time and are finally preparing to pull the trigger for the Italian forward, who can sign a pre-contract with his new club from this month onwards.

Several clubs are also keen on signing the 28-year-old Torino captain, including Napoli and Fiorentina, so the Rossoneri will need to work hard to beat out their competition if they want to secure his signature.

Belotti is a well-known Milan fan and Cairo even confirmed this in an interview in recent days. Now the race will truly begin to sign the Italian forward on a free transfer and the Milanese club are now preparing to fight off the competition for his signature.
