AC Milan have announced a series of initiatives to celebrate the club’s 125th anniversary in December, including a special edition jersey, match against Barcelona, collaborations and a new store.

The club was founded on December 16, 1899 by Englishman Herbert Kilpin and a group of friends, a side that went on to win 49 trophies including seven Champions Leagues and 19 Serie A titles.

The commemorations will include a special Puma jersey that will be in part designed by the fans, who get to vote on the width of the stripe, badge and details inside the collar.

Milan events planned for anniversary

There are going to be several events, including pre-season friendlies against SK Rapid in Vienna on July 20 and Barcelona in Baltimore on August 7.

There will also be the debut edition of the Silvio Berlusconi Trophy on August 13 at San Siro.

A new flagship store will be opened on Via Dante in Milan on July 17, there are also collaborations promised with partners including fashion brand Off-White, the New York Yankees and toy company Medicom.
