Lazar Samardzic has grown into one of the most exciting talents in Serie A and both Milan and Napoli are reportedly interested in picking up the Udinese midfielder this summer.

The 21-year-old Serbian midfielder arrived in the Italian topflight two years ago from RB Leipzig for just €3m, an investment he’s quickly justified. He’s grown into one of Udinese’s key players, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 37 Serie A appearances this campaign.

Samardzic now looks ready to make the next step of his career and Udinese are aware of this, putting a €20m price tag on the talented midfielder.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com details how Napoli have been interested in Samardzic for a number of months now, but things have cooled off recently due to the departure of Luciano Spalletti, who was pushing to bring him to the Campania capital.

The Partenopei are still keen on the 21-year-old, however, and could look to make a move should Piotr Zielinski depart in the coming months.

Milan are also seriously interested in Samardzic. Acting sporting director Geoffrey Moncada wanted to sign the Serb two years ago during his time at RB Leipzig and is still a fan of the midfielder, but for now other priorities are taking up the club’s time. Things could change later in the summer.
