Milan midfielder Franck Kessie continues to negotiate a new contract with the Rossoneri and is aiming to be one of the highest paid players at San Siro.

The midfielder is set to miss the first two games of the championship because of a flexor injury and Tuttosport reveals he meanwhile continues to work on the extension in Via Aldo Rossi.

Kessie: ‘I’m proud of Milan, I want to stay forever’

Kessie revealed he wants to stay at Milan during the Olympics, but the newspaper claims he’s is asking to be paid as much as the other top players.

Milan are offering €5m a season, but the Ivory Coast international continues to ask for €6m to extend with the Diavolo, who are eager to avoid a similar situation to Hakan Calhanoglu and Gigio Donnarumma.

The Turkey international moved on a free transfer to Inter this summer, with Donnarumma joining Paris Saint-Germain ahead of 2021-22.

Kessie and Milan are both eager to continue together, but are yet to reach an agreement over the personal terms, as the former Atalanta man asks to be the second highest paid player in the squad, after Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
