Christian Pulisic was honest about his desire to ‘be trusted and feel good’ at his next club as teams like Milan, Juventus and Lyon all consider fighting for his signature.
The 24-year-old American has one year left on his contract with Chelsea and seems destined to depart this summer, with the Todd Boehly-led side wanting around €20m for him. The forward earns around €5m net per season.
Milan and Juventus have long been linked with a move for Pulisic, who could relaunch his career in Serie A after a disappointing four-year spell with Chelsea. L’Equipe reported today that Olympique Lyon have also registered their interest in the 24-year-old.
Speaking to ESPN via TalkSport, Pulisic opened up about his goals for his next club.
“It’s absolutely a time where I need to figure out what’s going to be best for my future and be somewhere where I can go and play and be trusted and feel good in what I’m doing. I want to find that joy at club level again, for sure.”
This season, Pulisic only saw 812 minutes of action in the Premier League, scoring one goal and providing one assist across his 24 league matches. He featured prominently at the World Cup, directly contributing to three goals for the United States.
