Sky Germany claim that both Milan and Inter are targeting Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka in January.

Antonio Conte has repeatedly complained about the lack of depth in his squad, and has asked the Inter hierarchy to sign more players in January to cover the cost of playing domestic and European football.

Milan meanwhile are on the lookout for experienced players that will help their young team, and believe the Arsenal man fits the bill.

Xhaka's Arsenal career seems to be finished after storming off in the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace last month, and has suffered a torrent of abuse from Arsenal fans since signing in 2016.

The German broadcaster state that old side Borussia Monchengladbach are interested in taking the midfielder back to the Bundesliga, but this is an idea that doesn't interest the Swiss international, so a move to either of the Milan sides is a real possibility.

Both Inter and Milan for their part would take him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
