Inter and Milan directors will hold crunch talks with Milano’s municipality on Friday, but according to reports in Italy, the clubs are considering sharing a new stadium if they leave the Stadio Meazza.

Milan and Inter are still working on a new stadium, and many options are still open for the Milanese clubs.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, on page eight on Wednesday, reports that a new meeting between directors of the two clubs and representatives of Milano’s municipality will occur on Friday.

Milano’s Mayor Beppe Sala still hopes Milan and Inter won’t leave San Siro and is open to selling the stadium or loaning it to the clubs for 90 or 100 years.

If Milan and Inter stay in San Siro, they’ll pay for refurbishment works, but according to Gazzetta, the investment would be higher than initially planned by WeBuild, the company that has already unveiled a project to upgrade the old Stadio Meazza.

For this reason, Inter and Milan are still considering building a stadium each. Milan have identified the area of San Donato for their new arena, while Inter would move to Rozzano.

However, the latest updates reported by Gazzetta and Milan expert Antonio Vitiello suggest that Inter and Milan are considering sharing the new stadium as well.

Vitiello said on X, formerly Twitter, that Milan’s project in San Donato is more advanced than Inter’s in Rozzano, so the two clubs are considering building a new stadium together, allowing them to share the costs.

It is still unclear which path the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri will take, given that a new stadium for the two clubs has been on the agenda for many years.
