A transfer market Derby della Madonnina approaches as Milan and Inter both look to sign Eljif Elmas in the summer.

The 22-year-old North Macedonian forward is having a good season in the Campania capital under Luciano Spalletti, scoring six goals and providing six assists in 39 appearances across all competitions. He joined the club in 2019 in a deal worth around €16m from Fenerbahce.

As reported by Marca, Inter and Milan have both requested information from Napoli about Elmas, preparing for a possible move in the upcoming summer transfer window. A deal would not be easy to pull off however, as president Aurelio De Laurentiis is known to be a tough negotiator.

Milan are linked with Elmas as they looked for a replacement for Franck Kessie, who’ll leave at the end of this season. A possible exchange deal could also take place involving Ante Rebic, with both players sharing a market value of €35m.

Things are still in the early phases and nothing concrete has taken place yet, but updates are expected over the coming months, especially as the summer window draws closer.

  1. I’m hard up to believe that Milan will get rid of Rebic.

His output, when he eventually gets on the field, and even when not fully fit, is always far better than Saelemaekers and Saelemaekers got his deal renewed.

Plus, Rebic’s salary is hardly a burden.
