Gustav Isaksen was one of Midtjylland’s heroes in their thrilling 5-1 win over Lazio and he’s become a concrete target of Milan and Fiorentina, reports detail.

The 21-year-old Danish winger scored once against the Biancocelesti in their Europa League clash yesterday, putting in a great shift against Maurizio Sarri’s side. Isaksen is a quick and intelligent winger, known for his impressive ability to draw fouls in the penalty area.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, a number of scouts were in the stands at the MCH Arena to watch Midtjylland beat Lazio yesterday, including those from Milan and Fiorentina, who are both seriously interested in making a move for Isaksen.

The 21-year-old Dane won’t come cheap, however, something admitted by the club’s sporting director Svend Graversen. “We’ve already declined a €15m offer from a Premier League club at the end of the last transfer window,” he noted recently, “because the player is worth much more.”

Isaksen himself has admitted that he’s keen on the idea of making the move to Italy, highlighting how “with our youth team I have played in three tournaments here in the past. I love this country, your climate and especially the cuisine. In particular the ravioli. Besides, it seems like a league that would suit me. If I could choose, I’d have no doubts.”

The two Italian sides will have to fend off serious competition from around Europe if they want to secure the talented 21-year-old Danish winger’s signature in the coming months.

Isaksen has made 106 first team appearances for Midtjylland, scoring 16 goals and providing 10 assists in that time.
