Milan and Bologna agree option to buy for Pobega

The 25-year-old midfielder is set to join the Rossoblu on a 12-month loan deal with an option to buy. Bologna will have the option to make the move permanent at a cost of €12m later in the season.

Bologna will also cover the player’s salary in full for the 2024-25 campaign. His contract in Milan is set to expire in the summer of 2027.

Pobega is set to undergo a medical with Vincenzo Italiano’s physios later on Friday evening, and an announcement could follow by Saturday morning.

He could be signed in time to be included in the matchday squad to face Napoli away on Sunday, but it has not yet been confirmed whether he will get any minutes on the pitch.

Pobega has scored three goals in 43 appearances with Milan and has played in Serie A for the Rossoneri, as well as with Spezia and Torino.
