According to Sportmediaset, Milan and Barcelona are considering a swap deal between Alessio Romagnoli and Junior Firpo.

The Spanish defender is a long-time Milan target and multiple sources report the Rossoneri are interested in securing his services. Il Corriere della Sera and Sky Sport Italia are also linking the 24-year-old with a move to the Stadio San Siro.

While the Italian broadcasters claim the Rossoneri want to sign the defender on loan, Sportmediaset reports the two clubs are working on a swap deal involving the left-back and Alessio Romagnoli.

The contract of the Italian defender expires in June 2022 and he hasn’t yet reached an agreement to extend his stay at the club.

Previous reports suggested his agent Mino Raiola had requested a €6m-a-year salary to pen a new deal with the Serie A giants.

Romagnoli joined Milan from Sampdoria in a €30m deal in 2015. He has played 221 games in a Rossoneri shirt.
