Milan and Barcelona are reportedly leading the race for Ajax defender Noussair Mazraoui, who will be a free agent in July.

The versatile defender’s contract is due to expire on June 30 and he is not interested in signing a new deal with the Dutch side.

His agent is Mino Raiola, so the rapport with Milan is frosty at best following the departure of Gianluigi Donnarumma as a free agent.

Borussia Dortmund are also interested in the 24-year-old, but the main competition comes from Barcelona.

Mazraoui can play as a centre-back, a right-back, central midfield or on the left, so would represent a valuable addition to the Rossoneri squad.

He was born in the Netherlands, but decided to play his international football for Morocco, where he already has 12 senior caps.

The defender has an eye for goal too, scoring five times in 25 competitive games for Ajax this season, along with three assists.
