Milan have reportedly agreed a deal to sign highly-rated teenage midfielder Mateusz Skoczylas from Zaglebie Lubin in the Polish Ekstraklasa.

According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, the 16-year-old is ‘on the verge’ of joining the Rossoneri and his signing could be made official in the early stages of next week.

Skoczylas has made 11 appearances for Zaglebie Lubin’s affiliated second team and was also heavily involved in Poland’s run to the semi-final of the 2023 U17 Euros.

Skoczylas started in all five of Poland’s matches in the tournament, bagging a brace in the opening game against the Republic of Ireland, continuing with another goal in the 5-3 win over Hungary the following match.

Poland then went on to defeat Serbia 3-2 in the quarter-final, before eventually losing out to Germany in the semis.

Skoczylas’ current side, Zaglebie Lubin, have also previously had Piotr Zielinski and Krzysztof Piatek on their books, as well as former Borussia Dortmund full-back Lukasz Piszczek on their books.
