The Rossoneri published a picture on Instagram of a banner that was placed on a balcony in Milan.

‘Andrà tutto bene, dopo Istanbul c’e Atene!’

This rhyme uses the motto of the coronavirus lockdown in Italy, ‘Everything will be fine,’ with a reference to the club’s Champions League history.

The 2005 Final in Istanbul saw Milan fumble a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 with Liverpool, eventually losing on penalties.

However, the two sides met again two years later in Athens and the Rossoneri took revenge with a 2-1 victory.

“Today’s struggles are tomorrow’s strength,” added the Milan Instagram page.
