Former Real Madrid director Predrag Mijatovic believes Inter star Mauro Icardi should be their next Number 9 rather than Tottenham's Harry Kane.
Mijatovic was the director of sport at the Bernabeu from 2006 to 2010 and has some strong ideas on the current squad.
“I expect Real Madrid to get back to being Real Madrid next season, in other words to make big signings that have been lacking in recent sessions,” Mijatovic told the Corriere dello Sport newspaper.

“I expect Real Madrid to get back to being Real Madrid next season, in other words to make big signings that have been lacking in recent sessions,” Mijatovic told the Corriere dello Sport newspaper.
“They need a centre-forward. Icardi and Kane are scoring a lot. I can’t tell you which of the two I prefer, but unlike the English, I do know that Argentines have never had problems settling in to Spanish life and football.
“I like Icardi because he is young, has an eye for goal and a release clause.”
The clause is believed to be worth €120m, but can only be activated for a two-week period in July.
