Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic believes the game with Inter will be a tough one for both sides: ‘We can win at San Siro.’

The Rossoblu travel to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza tomorrow.

It kicks off at 17.00 UK time.

Mihajlovic, a former Inter defender, previewed the game during his pre-match press conference.

“You say it won’t be easy with Inter, but do you mean for them or us? Concentration must remain high in these games, otherwise, you can work as an accountant and have no problems,” the coach said as quoted by Gazzetta.it.

“It will be a challenging game, they are strong, but in the last few years, we proved that we can win if we play as we know. We can win at San Siro, it won’t be easy for them,” the 52-year-old continued.

“We have changed the way to defend, from man-marking to zonal marking, so everybody must think about the team. Adama Soumaoro is still struggling to adapt, but he must start to learn Italian.”

Serie A Preview | Inter vs. Bologna: The Nerazzurri unbeaten in 18 home games

Bologna are unbeaten in three Serie A games, having collected one draw and two wins in the opening games of the season.

Inter picked up a draw against Sampdoria on Sunday and suffered a 1-0 defeat at the Meazza against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Nerazzurri are still adapting to life after the sales of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku.

The new PSG right-back was replaced by Denzel Dumfries, while Edin Dzeko was drafted in from Roma to replace Lukaku, who had signed with Chelsea.

Inter registered 28 shots in the last two games against Sampdoria and Real Madrid but only managed to collect one point.

“They’ve lost a lot,” Mihajlovic admitted. “Dzeko is a marvellous player, but he is different from Lukaku. You can leave space to Dzeko, while if you do it with Lukaku, he can create different problems.

“However, the first thing we must do is to create trouble for them. They have weak points, just like any other team. Barrow is feeling better but, because of COVID, he is taking longer to recover after an effort. Schouten is not eligible to play, but he will be available for the next match.”

Marko Arnautovic, a former Inter striker, is expected to start for the Rossoblu up front tomorrow.

“He didn’t move to Bologna to rest. He played three games with the national team, so he can do the same with us. If he is fit, he will play. If he is not fit, he’ll play anyway. He has nothing to prove, he was very young when he was at Inter. Now he is a man and he must show what he can do.”

Mihajlovic, 52, played his last two years as a footballer at Inter, scoring six goals in 43 appearances between 2004 and 2006.
